Revive the auditory heritage "House of Balloons" by Weeknd with the original samples


There's a whole new wave of artists relocating their old mixtapes to streaming services, and we're here for it. The latest to announce such a move is none other than present-day pop sensation, The Weeknd. It was uncovered today that his groundbreaking debut mixtape, "House Of Balloons", will arrive on streaming platforms this end of the week, March 21. The Weeknd dropped its first mixtape, "house of Balloon," In 2011, preceding singing to XO Records.


Listeners immediately connected with his unique sound, and it was from that foundation that he was able to launch his wildly successful career. Likewise, the project was an early indication of the artist's far and wide success as it promptly set The Weeknd up on the map until now. This Sunday is formally the 10-year anniversary of the arrival of the mixtape, so to praise; the artist has chosen to transfer the project for streaming platforms in its original structure for the first time. The Weeknd announced to fans via social media, expressing,


"On Sunday for its 10 year anniversary I'm releasing House of Balloons on all streaming platforms for the first time in its original incarnation." the singer added, "With the original mixes and samples." This year he performed at the Super Bowl halftime show and presently has one of the most monthly audience members on Spotify. With more than 73 million listens, likewise he sang a track from the mixtape, House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls" along with hits like "Blinding Lights" and "I Can't Feel My Face". For this unique rerelease, 1,000 limited duplicates of the mixtape on vinyl and a varsity coat with a lining inspired by the outfit The Weeknd wore at his initially live show ever in Toronto in 2011.


Those are dropping on The Weeknd's website (shop.theweeknd.com) on March 21 at 3 p.m. ET for just 48 hours. In addition to "House Of Balloons" making its way to streaming services, Mac Miller's "Faces" and Kid Cudi's "A Kid Named Cudi" will be arriving on your favorite platforms soon as well.
