Rapper Lil Baby Gives Back To His Former High School in Atlanta


With the great success of the released album, My Turn and now celebrating his new release, My Turn the deluxe version, setting charts, Amazon Music today debuted a new interview with Atlanta’s very own rapper Lil Baby and filmed before his surprise concert at Booker T. Washington High School. At the event, he played some new songs from his album before he announced that he will be donating $150,000 to establish a new scholarship for his former high school. The scholarship is called My Turn scholarship. The scholarship is being supported by Amazon Music’s Rap Rotation, Quality Control, Wolfpack Global, and Motown Records. In his interview, Lil Baby discusses his time at his high school and what it meant to return back there. He also made sure to discuss the importance of always giving back to where you come from and making sure that this scholarship inspires other students at the school to make it out and be great. He stated, “when their time comes, it's going to be their time— it’s my turn to get a scholarship, my turn to go to college, my turn to be a new leader of the world.” Making sure that children of today have a chance to succeed and to have brighter futures.
