JAY-Z & Roc Nation uses Full Page ads in Newspapers across the country in honor of George Floyd
JAY-Z and his team ROC, have teamed up with families that have gone through the same horrific tragedy of losing someone to police violence just like George Floyd. They are making full page ads in newspapers across the nation. These ads are dedicated to George Floyd. There was a letter placed in newspapers across the nation. It was placed in The New York Times, The Denver Post, The Chicago Tribune, The LA Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Austin American Statement, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and many others. The letter was quoted by Martin Luther King, Jr. It stated things like, we as people should stand up for what is right with whatever comes our way. Wanting the world to know that all we want to do is be free and treated right. The letter was signed by parents of Botham Jean, DJ Henry and Antwon Rose II. All three of these parents have dealt with tragedy as their sons were killed by police. Also, influencers such as Charlamagne tha God, Angela Rye, Van Jones, the attorney’s for Floyd ( Ben Crump & S. Lee Merritt) and many other activists from organizations such as, The Innocence Project, Until Freedom and many others signed the letter. All three of these young men were shot and killed by police officers.
