Giannis Antetokounmpo is named 2020 NBA Defensive player of the year

The Milwaukee Bucks are getting forward to finishing off the Orlando Magic in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Before they headed to the court for game 5, their reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was finally named the 2020 NBA defensive player of the year. Yahoo Sports gave all the information on the updates that lead to reveal Giannis took out Anthony Davis of Los Angeles Lakers and Ruby Gobert of the Utah Jazz.

Giannis is also the favorite of this year’s MVP while the other main candidate is of course LeBron James. Giannis has led his team the Bucks to a great win streak and leading a good record in the NBA at 56-17 while averaging 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists.

Congratulating Giannis, he is now the fifth player in NBA history to win both awards. He joins the greats Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, and Kevin Garnett.
