With a statement that Charlamagne made on MSNBC, he had shocked host Alex Witt and Al Sharpton by saying that he wished shooting death victim, Ahmaud Arbery, was armed before he was killed. If you don't know, Ahmaud Arbery was a 25 year old African-American man who was chased and shot at by two white men, father Gregory McMichael and son Travis McMichael. Charlamagne suggested that Black people in America need to strap up legally so they can avoid this incident happening to them. He states, “My thoughts are rest in peace and condolences to his family,” ... “I wish that brother had a gun on him while he was jogging to defend himself against those thugs, those goons, those terrorists. I call them ‘Vanilla ISIS.’ They hunted him down like he was a deer.” So many Black unarmed men still to this day is getting, as Charlamagne put it, being hunted down like deer. When will it stop?
