Cardi B wins $1.2M in a lawsuit against Celebrity Gossip Blogger, Tasha K

Cardi B recently won a $1 million defamation lawsuit against YouTuber LaTasha Kebe also better known as Tasha K. She had made outrageous accusations against the rapper.

Per Billboard, a Georgia jury awarded Cardi B $1.25 million in damages after two weeks of deliberating the case. Tasha K. was convicted of invasion of privacy through portrayal in a false light and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Kebe could also be on the hook for additional severe damages or Cardi’s legal expenses when court picks up Tuesday.

Cardi B took Kebe to court in 2019 over dozens of videos featuring crazy allegations, among which was the beginning of Cardi’s career and also during that the rapper “f–ked herself with beer bottles” onstage when she was working as a stripper. Kebe also claimed that Cardi had prostituted herself, was addicted to hard drugs, was unfaithful to her husband Offset, and had contracted herpes.

Cardi testified last week that she felt “extremely suicidal” over Tasha K’s claims.

“I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband,” she added, adding fatigue, weight loss, migraines, and anxiety to the list. “Only an evil person could do that s–t,” Cardi reportedly said, apologizing to the court for her language.

Cardi also testified that the herpes rumor in particular really hurt her and people dragged her online, as some of Kebe’s million-plus followers harassed her over pictures of her kissing daughter Kulture on the lips and called her “Herpes B.”

Kebe’s lawyers can still challenge the verdict. Their attorneys have yet to talk to Billboard.
