Tony Award Winning Actress Victim As Car Loses Control Hittng Her And Daughter

Ruthie Ann Miles, who is esteemed actress and Tony Award winner for best-featured actress in a musical for the 2015 revival of The King and I, has been identified as one of three non-fatal victims of a crash in New York City yesterday. Miles is reportedly and suffers the misfortune of her daughter 4-year-old Abigail Blumenstein being pronounced dead upon arriving at Methodist Hospital, according to police.

It all took place in Brooklyn at approximately 12:40 PM Monday as a 44-year-old female allegedly “failed to maintain control of the vehicle and struck the pedestrians.” The driver was brought to NYU Langone and is in stable condition. According to reports, there have not been any arrests and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

The Broadway community has shared their condolences on Twitter for Miles, who also starred on The Americans.
