As Extra Butter puts it, the Kings of New York Clyde sneaker features an overhaul of crushed velvet, tonal leather form stripe, and veg tan leather heel and tongue. The simplicity of the Cabernet and Pea coat color-ways allow for the meticulous details to really shine. From the signature gold foil branding to velvet fat laces with perforated leather co-branded insoles, and tonal NY monogram pattern on the leather collar lining. The translucent outsole with asymmetrical “Extra Butter” branding ices the bottom.

"Puma is like....the original b-boy shoe," says Smooth of Extra Butter. "It's just that simple."

To pay homage, Extra Butter and Puma held a b-boy competition at the West Village's (Le) Poisson Rouge last Saturday. Hosted by Toca Tuesday's Voodoo Ray, where competitors batted it out for a good chunk of change: $2500.

Patrons of the event enjoyed a 2 hour open bar and some tasty chicken and waffles from Sweet Chick, while debating on who is the best of the best in the competition.

"We were just inspired by the whole b-boy movement," says Smooth. "One of the co-founders, Jason Faustino, used to be a b-boy. The whole project was put together by the inspiration and the event just fell into place. The connection with Puma was so natural. We approached them with the idea, they loved it and here it is."

The competition also featured guest judge Crazy Legs of the legendary Rock Steady Crew, as Extra Butter had the dope pair of kicks on sale at the venue for purchase.
