English McFly was raised on the West side of Harlem in the 90's where he was subjected to the gangs, drugs, guns, money, and violence. Coming from nothing he made something out of it. Listening to DMX, The Lox, Biggie, Jay-Z and many others, English McFly began to be inspired by the culture of Hip Hop as well as the music. By the time he was 10 years old, English McFly wanted his shot at contributing to the culture as a performing artist. Learning that it was no easy task, McFly delves into poetry as a means to strengthen his wordplay and engagement with the creative world. Sooner than later, things began to connect and his rap career was born roughly a decade ago. To date, English McFly has performed his music at Rock the Stage Part 2 at the H-Loft Events, Club K, Lotus Lounge and Nuyourican Cafe. This past weekend, English McFly participated in our #KickinItWitThePlug Media day at Studio 259 in the Bronx where he dropped some vicious bars.
