A Night of Excellence Recap: Evan Brown's "E Is Excellence" Instrumental Album Release Party 5.23.17

It was a night of “excellence” for music producer and musician Evan Brown this past Tuesday, May 23rd in New York City for the release of his debut instrumental album “E Is Excellence” and birthday celebration for founder of Tha L. Spot Ent. & P.R. LLC Jessica Lanice. As attendees walked towards the entrance of Keller Williams Tribeca and through the glass windows, there was a video playing Evan Brown’s journey in his element inside the studio. Entering the venue, you were greeted by the tunes of DJ HR of Trauma Radio NYC. Enjoying complimentary drinks, attendees mixed and mingled, as well as, shop from vendor clothing brand Eye Hunee.

The attendees gathered around the Step & Repeat banner for the Q&A segment hosted by Jessica Lanice with Evan Brown. As they were going through his 10-track instrumental album “E Is Excellence”, Evan Brown talked about the meaning behind his slogan “E Is Excellence”, some of the challenges he faced as a music producer, the mood he was in while creating the tracks on the album, and his music production company Key Majors Music Group. While listening to the tracks off the album the audience could not hold their reactions in. You can see them head bopping, shouting, dancing, and artists lipping some lyrics to the music. Some of the favorite tracks that had the most head bops or excitement were “Push”, “Good Life”, “Universal” and “Crown”. One of the highlights of the night was an impromptu cypher with some of the music artists in attendance singer Islima Songbird, and rappers Cash Sinatra and Flame Da Arsonist. (Watch clip here) Right at the closing of the Q&A, Evan Brown and Tami of REDStarLine Realty surprised Jessica Lanice with a birthday cupcake and had everyone sing “Happy Birthday”, which led into everyone doing the electric slide and enjoying the rest of the night.
