A legendary vocal performer whose legacy dates back to the mid-80s where she galvanized audiences on a national level on the heels of her classic tune, "Do Me, Baby". An elite composition, the song brought droves of people to dance floors in the most renowned venues you can think of. Meli'sa Morgan's sultry yet powerful voice was lauded by all, and her career was in full steam. The follow "Fool's Paradise" added to her repertoire showing her diverse ability that ranged from soul to R&B and included both jazz and gospel. Meli'sa would go on to be responsible for other popular records the likes of Do You Still Love Me, Now or Never, If You Can Do it, Love Changes feat Kashif, Back Together Again with Freddie Jackson and so many more.
Her background was in the house of the lord and opportunity led her to the dance and soul genres. Never one to miss an opportunity she showcased her promise as young as 16 years old on #1 hit "Keep in Touch Body to Body." To perfect her craft and absorb knowledge from icons, Meli'sa would go on to hit the road singing background for Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, as well as opened for Gladys Knight. Learning the ropes of touring, and business Meli'sa would hone her writing skills and establish herself as a dual threat to go along with her amazing voice.
Over the years Meli'sa Morgan has released 5 successful albums which included "Do Me Baby" "Good Love" The Lady In Me" "Still In Love With You" and "I Remember." In addition, Meli'sa has received platinum plaques for other works which include Mary J Blige's "Breakthrough" Jay-Z's "Reasonable Doubt" and LL Cool Js "14 Shots To The Dome" projects. Meli'sa has also achieved the blessing of a Diamond Platinum Award (10 Million Sold) for her work on Whitney Houston's self-titled debut album. In 2014, Meli'sa was nominated for a Grammy for her "In the Mood to Take It Slow" duet with Najee.
Meli'sa Morgan has been featured on Showtime at the Apollo, Soul Train, and TV One's Unsung documentary. She continues to tour today internationally making stops in Japan, Korea, Venice, Germany Turkey, London and Amsterdam to go along with playing to sold out Wembley Arena with Patti Labelle and The Whispers. As a mogul, Meli'sa has added to her resume production of her own concert "Heart To Heart" which highlighted legendary performers Melba Moore, Miki Howard, and Alyson Williams.
